CAFE REVIEWS

  • Beag has become our new favorite cafe in west Clare! The coffee (currently Calendar out of Galway) is so smooth and incredibly consistent irrespective of who’s making it. Plus, the pastries are delightful, with some daily mainstays like cinnamon buns and chocolate hazelnut knots, and some occasional appearances from Florentines and house made jambons!

The daily menu is simple and tasty, and the vegetarian option of the open is rich and light, the tomatoes a taste of summer and sunshine as the autumn takes us deeper into the year.

  • Beag is definitely a must when visiting the beautiful Kilrush. A wide variety of toasties, coffees and bakery, with a deep research for quality ingredients that perfectly translate into curious and tasty dishes. Service was smooth and all the staff seems passionate about their job. It's a very welcoming and aesthetically pleasing location that perfectly mixes tradition with a few modern elements of decor.

  • A superb example of a great coffee house. They are family owned and staff is extremely warm and welcoming, especially to folks from out of town! Additionally, they have house baked goods and wonderful toasties! You'd be remiss to not stop by and sample what they have to offer while in Kilrush or just passing through.

  • ABSOLUTELY the best place to go to. We spent 9 days in Ireland with our son from Denmark and by chance stumbled upon this little gem. So warm and cozy, ambiance just perfect, service was top FOOD WAS AMAZING also best coffee we had the whole trip. As a retired restaurant owner of 32 years in the states , I can honestly say don’t miss this gem. We wish the owners and workers years of success , and thank you all for making our trip memorable with your restaurant.
